COURSES & WORKSHOPS
Courses and workshops are run throughout the year .
Creative writing, Arts & Crafts, Languages, Cookery classes, Basket weaving, Gardening which are supported by the LCETB ( Limerick & Clare Education & Training Board)
Independant workshops include: Yoga, Singing, Thai Chi and Movement.
Fine Arts and Craft classes include: Photography, Creative writing, Poetry, Drawing, Mosaics, Knitting, Weaving, Furniture making and art,craft & design.
Erasmus Plus
East Clare Co-op is a member of Erasmus+, or Erasmus Plus,
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport, 2014-2020. It provides funding and support for organisations to operate projects that encourage European exchange, co-operation and learning. Erasmus+ is funded by the European Union through the contributions of member states, including Ireland. Funding of almost €170 million has been allocated to Ireland for the duration of the programme.
Erasmus+ funding is available to all sectors (or fields) of formal, inormal and non-formal education. This includes schools, youth organisations, adult education groups, and vocational organisations.
Erasmus Plus 2020 is Kobiety -CLIMATE HOPE, which takes place in Poland August 2020 (Due to Covid-19 dates may change we will update you accordingly)

ERASMUS PLUS
"Climate Hope"
Erasmus+ KA1 TC
"Climate Hope” - is a training course under the Erasmus+
programme, created as an answer to the climate crisis connected
with its growing movement and the activation of young people in
this area.We equip participants - youth workers, teachers, facilitators,
community leaders, activists - with knowledge, attitudes and skills,
focusing on climate HOPE, showing individual actions and
environmental changemaking is not only needed but also possible.
At the end of the training course, the participants are inspired and
empowered to create and implement actions on the local level.
These actions are connected to the project topic and dedicated to
young people as well as other youthworkers.

10 days of training + 2 travel
days
PARTICIPANTS PROFILE
Active youth workers (working with or for youth), who:
- are open and willing to actively participate and contribute to the
programme of the project,
- are available and motivated to attend the full duration of the
training held in English (10 working days + 2 days of travel),
- have motivation to develop social initiatives for young people and
other youth workers and implement them locally after the training.
